On this occasion, our guest will be Dr. Constantino Balestra, an outstanding professional with extensive experience in hyperbaric medicine.

The interview will be conducted by Dr. Fabrizio Verdini, who is in charge of institutional relations for the association. The objectives are:
• Facilitate Dr. Balestra to present his extensive experience in the study of hyperoxia and the delta effect described by him.
• Know his vision about the possible application of HBOT in COVID-19 to obtain better pulmonary oxygenation in these patients (potential role of HBOT).
About Constantino Balestra
Dr. Constantino Balestra began to study the neurophysiology of fatigue and then began to study problems in environmental physiology. He teaches physiology, biostatistics, research methodology, as well as other subjects. He is the Director of the Laboratory of integrative Physiology and a full-time professor at the Haute Ecole Bruxelles-Brabant (Brussels). He is also Vice President of DAN Europe in the area of research and education and former immediate President of the European Underwater and Baromedical Society. He is currently the Vice President of the Belgian Society for Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine.
