Throughout the six-hour, doctors from different specialties will discuss the theoretical aspects of hyperbaric oxygenation therapy and their experiences in the use of the hyperbaric chamber as a coadjuvant treatment for different pathologies that present with hypoxia or lack of oxygen.
Among the topics to be addressed in the first block of the course are: fundamentals of Hyperbaric Medicine, volumetric and solumetric effects, types of hyperbaric chambers, hyperbaric oxygen biochemistry and therapeutic physiological effects, indications, contraindications, adverse effects, biochemistry of healing, scientific evidence in wounds, infectious pathology and clinical cases of network of Hyperbaric Medicine centers.
Then they will discuss the treatment of hyperbaric oxygenation in plastic surgery and burns, complex wounds and diabetic foot, introduction to the applications of hyperbaric oxygenation treatment in Medical Clinic and Intoxications (inflammatory, tinnitus, migraine, ischemia reperfusion, carbon monoxide poisoning) and HBOT in oncology.
To close, the speakers will discuss inflammation and pain, rheumatic and orthopedic diseases, dysfunctional sensitive syndromes, hyperbaric oxygenation therapy in sports medicine
The day will end with a round of questions and a multiple-choice exam to assess the knowledge acquired by the participants.
